Letter from Our Founder - December 2024

Hi!!

It is the last month of 2024. Can you believe it? 

We are in “the most wonderful time of the year”. It always feels like once we get to this point of the year, it’s so busy with wrapping up work, school before the holiday/semester break, and preparing to spend the holidays how you see fit.

WIth this time being so busy, I almost forget to recognize that it’s the closing of a new year (outside of New Year’s Eve, of course). But it’s hard to be able to sit and really acknowledge what this year was for you. Your wins, your adversities, new experiences - this is the time to reflect, but we rarely take time for this.

If we do, it’s as we’re looking to build our New Year’s Resolutions. 

Ah yes, New Year’s Resolutions. How do you go about making them? Do you take time to set any goals for the new year? Do you normally focus on short or long term goals?

It feels like sometimes if you don’t plan for the new year the right way, you’re failing. In fact, planning only helps us to have some kind of direction.

Think about the plans you may have made for 2024. Some of those plans probably came into fruition, but others may not have - or at least the way you planned them to be. Without those goals you made in December 2023, some of the things you accomplished might not have happened at all. Planning only gets you so far, but at least it puts you on a path for what you want.

In the last few weeks of 2024, take time if you can to reflect, rest, and relax. Replenish yourself and take care of yourself. 

Watch some good movies, make sure you finish strong on your finals, finalize those personal projects for the year - and just live in the moment.
